The records go as far back to 1580 when the estate was recorded as Blaen-y-pant the seat of Llewellyn ap David, it was then passed by marriages to the Brigstocke family, the present Blaenpant Mansion is believed to have been built around 1751 by Owen Brigstock as the gentry house of the Brigstock family and later enlarged by William Owen Brigstocke II in 1833-7.
It was a grand estate with as much as 2470 acres in the parish. With 13 tenant farms of 100-300 acres, a lake to the southwest of mansion, a cattle pond and outbuildings reservoir to the northeast as well as the walled garden and a lodge.
Blaenpant Mansion originally consisted of a large hall, drawing room, dining room, study, kitchen, servants hall, housekeepers room, butler’s pantry, scullery, storeroom, lumber room, cellar, 14 bedrooms, small sitting room and outbuildings comprising of coach house, cart house, dairy, laundry and granary.
In more recent years Blaenpant has been lovingly restored since it was left partly derelict in 1950's. Our family have lived at Blaenpant for over 20 years, we now live in a converted outbuilding that is situated on the grounds detached from the main house.
